Supporting Youth with Problematic Sexual Behaviors: Understanding the MST-PSB Approach

This session will introduce Multisystemic Therapy for Problematic Sexual Behavior (MST-PSB) and highlight how community-based clinicians partner with caregivers to support youth and families.

Participants will learn how MST-PSB helps:

• Strengthen caregiver and family engagement

• Improve communication within the home

• Develop and implement practical safety planning strategies

• Reduce stigma while supporting understanding and accountability

• Keep youth safely connected to their homes and communities whenever possible

This presentation will also explore how empowering caregivers and using a family-centered approach can improve outcomes for youth with complex behavioral needs.
