During Child Abuse Prevention Month’s Week of Action | April 13–17, 2026 we shine a national spotlight on the strategies and everyday actions that expand what's possible for children and families. Prevention is most effective when communities raise their voices for policies and programs that help families thrive.

This Advocacy 101 training taught by Jessica Vega, Senior Advocacy and Community Engagement Manager at Rhode Island KIDS COUNTwill introduce parents, professionals, and community members to the fundamentals of advocacy for child and family well-being in Rhode Island, including how to prep for testimony.
